Description	:	HAGERSTOWN -- Evelyn P. Lucas, 87, of Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, in Reid Hospital. She was born in Wayne County on Feb. 3, 1918, the daughter of Lawrence and Estel King Strickler. She was a lifelong resident of the Hagerstown area. Evelyn was a 1936 graduate of Hagerstown High School, a former employee of Abbott's Candies and a retired employee of Perfect Circle/Dana Corp., Hagerstown. She is survived by her husband, Fred Lucas; two sons, Robert L. Weaver (Sherri) and Edward R. Weaver, both of Hagerstown; two stepsons, Gary Lucas (Katie) of Muncie, Larry Lucas (Maggie) of Grapevine, Texas; one stepdaughter, Barbara Fritzinger (Dave) of Winchester; 10 grandchildren, Brad Pentecost (Anna) of Delaware, Ohio, Mark Pentecost (Marsha) of Hagerstown, Jana Pentecost of Loveland, Ohio, Melissa Weaver Day (Daniel) of Tucson, Ariz., Kristina Weaver Dale of Hagerstown, Denise Fritzinger of Noblesville, Andrew Fritzinger of Indianapolis, Kyle Lucas and Katie Lucas, both of Grapevine, Texas, Becca Barton of Colorado; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, E. Ray Weaver in 1972; one daughter, Janice E. Pentecost; one sister, Mildred Strickler Crull; one brother, Clyde Strickler. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, in Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown, with Pastor Paul Gearhardt officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Originally published August 12, 2005
