She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles in 2005, a sister Irene Peska, and three brothers, Julian, Charley and Rene Arens. Evelyn Sophia Arens was born July 11, 1924 near Hartwick, Iowa, the daughter of Henry Arens and Louise Vols Arens. She graduated from the Hartwick High School. She and Charles Frank Fetter were united in marriage on January 17, 1945 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Brooklyn. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was the typical farm wife, doing all that was needed to keep things running smoothly. Evelyn enjoyed gardening and canning, baking raisin bread pudding and making sweet rice.
