Moving back to Seattle in 1937 he... Read More	Everett C. Mills of Sacramento, CA Sept. 18, 1909 to March 28, 2013 Everett Mills was born in Everett, Wash. in 1909. He passed away peacefully in Sacramento, Calif., where he lived with his daughter and son-in-law since the passing of his wife Mabel in 2001. He lived in the Seattle area most of his life, except for a few years in Los Angeles during the 1930s, where he met and married Mabel and even occasionally served as an extra in a couple of movies at that time. Moving back to Seattle in 1937 he worked at Boeing, then struck out on his own, building homes in the Seattle area. He also worked in the pulp and paper industry, developing new methods of making paper. After retiring, he and Mabel built their dream home in Suquamish in 1974. In 1991 they moved to Port Orchard. Being a master furniture builder he crafted many pieces for his family and church. Everett was an avid golfer, gardener and cribbage player. In later years he wrote over 30 short stories, designed birdhouses and took up crafting beautiful jewelry for family and friends. Although he traveled the world he always considered the Northwest to be the most beautiful place on Earth. His legacy to his family was his love and zest for life. He was loved and adored by all who knew him. Everett is survived by his four children, 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 6 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Port Orchard.
