He was born Nov. 25, 1906, in Laddsdale to Alfred and Alice Trainor Dyer. He married Dorotha Besco on May 25, 1934. He was a member of Willard Street United Methodist Church, Empire Masonic Lodge 269 AF&AM, Clinton Chapter 9, Ottumwa Council 31, Malta Commandery 31, KAABA Shrine and Ottumwa Shrine Club. He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Rebecca Courtney of Milwaukee, Wis., Cynthia Augeson of Hector, Minn., Lori Young of Muscatine and Lynanne Dyer of Ottumwa; four grandchildren; and a sister, Kathryn Rogers of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn Dyer; five sisters and five brothers. The service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, the Rev. Wilbert Trusheim of Willard Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa. Masonic Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Family visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family.
