Read More	Everett Foster (100157379) The Banner-Press, David City, Nebraska, Thursday, July 18, 1940, Page:1 PASSED AWAY SUNDAY DEATH OF EVERETT FOSTER He Had Been a Resident of Butler County Slnce 1879 Everett Foster, long-time resident of Butler county, died at his home in David City early Sunday morning July 14 of heart attack, a disease with which he had been afflicted for some time past. Mr. Foster was in his 67th year. Born in Knox county, Illinois on June 7, 1874, he came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Foster to Butler county at the age of five years. The Foster family located on a farm near Garrison and it was there that Everett lived until he had reached manhood. After his marriage to Miss Grace Myers on October 6, 1895, {sic-1896} he continued residence in the vicinity of Garrison until a few months ago when he and Mrs. Foster moved to David City. Eight children, four sons and four daughters, were born to Mr. and Mrs. Foster and with their mother survive. They are Glenn and Lynn Foster and Mrs. Vera Drummond of David City, Major Roy Foster of Washington, D. C., John Foster of. Omaha, Mrs. Adria Armagost of Garrison, Mrs. Ellen Shrader of Surprise and Mrs Lots Howe, living near David City. Mr Foster also leaves 15 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Ed Kasparek of David City and Mrs. A. C. Howland of Garrison. Funeral services were held in the Garrison M E church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev R. L. Townsend in charge. Wesley Glock sang two solos "No Night There" and "Will There Be Any Stars In My Crown". The pallbearers were Harold Cornue, William Fox, Wesley Glock, Carl Jaenike, A. A. Piller and Victor Piller. Burial was in the Garrison cemetery. All relatives of Mr. Foster were in attendance at the funeral. Major Roy Foster, Mrs. Foster and son, Robert who had been visiting in David City and had departed for the east a day or two prior to Mr Foster's passing were located at Des Moines, Iowa and returned to David City Sunday. Others coming from away to the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. William Backora of St. Michael, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Grim of Wood River, Avon Grim of Grand Island and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Jones of Omaha.
