GRACE FOSTER Grace Myers Foster, one of four children of Joe Myers and Ellen Armagost Myers, was born on June 6, 1878, and passed away at tha David City hospital Monday morning, Jan. 24, after a lingering illness of two years. She was aged 70 years, 8 months and 18 days. She came to Nebraska with her parents in l879, settling on a farm near Garrison, where she received her education and to young womanhood. On Oct 6, 1896, she was united in marriage to Everett Foster. They spent practically all their married life in and near Garrison, moving to David City in May, 1940. Mr. Foster passed away in July of that same year. Twelve children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Foster, of whom four died in infancy. The eight arriving children are Col. Roy M. Foster of Rome, N. Y.; Mrs. Walter Shrader.of Lincoln; John and Lynn Foster of Omaha; Glen Foster of Ulysses; and Mrs. Walter Drummond, Mrs. Dale Howe and Mrs. Clarence Armagost of David City. Also surviving Mrs. Foster are her mother, Mrs. Joe Myera of David City; two sisters, Mrs. Harper Scripter of David City and Mrs. Wm. Depue of Rising City; one brother, Dr. O. R. Myers of Eureka, Calif.; and 21 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Mrs. Foster was a member of St. Lukes M. E. church and tha Womans Society of Christian Service. Her way1 of life was simple and pleasant, and her interest was in the wifely art of her family and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 oclock Wednesday afternoon at the Home For Funerals. Rev. H. W. Jackman of St. Lukes M. E. church officiated. Miss Ramona Darrow sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and J. Malottea arrangement of "The Lord's Prayer," with Mrs. Robert Larson, accompanist. The pallbearers were Wm. Armagost, Dale Howe, Walter - Drummond, Clarence Armagost, Walter Shrader and Fred McFarland. Burial at Garrison. Contributor: Mona Anderson (46620248)
