Description	:	Mr. Everett Leslie Carlson was born July 30, 1918 in Saronville, Nebraska, to Axel Carlson and Mary (nee Nelson) Carlson. Everett was baptized and confirmed at the Saronville Methodist church. He joined Hope Reformed Church of Sutton, Nebraska some years later. Read More	Mr. Everett Leslie Carlson was born July 30, 1918 in Saronville, Nebraska, to Axel Carlson and Mary (nee Nelson) Carlson. Everett was baptized and confirmed at the Saronville Methodist church. He joined Hope Reformed Church of Sutton, Nebraska some years later. Part of his reaffirmation of faith states that he believed he must "confess that because of his sinfulness he abhorred and humbled himself before God, and that he trusted in Christ for salvation and not in himself but in Christ alone!" The congregation of Hope Church holds to the confession of faith of the Heidelberg Catechism which says in Question and Answer #57, "What comfort does the resurrection of the body give you? That after this life my soul shall be immediately taken up to Christ, its head, and that this flesh of mine, raised by the power of Christ, shall be reunited with my soul, and be conformed to the glorious body of Christ." On April 8, 1945 Mr. Carlson married Lucille Bauer in Lincoln, Nebraska. For a number of years they farmed a few miles west of Sutton. Everett also worked for Federal Crop Insurance since 1963. Mr. Carlson served as an elder at Hope Reformed Church for six years. During that time he served as President of the Consistory while the church was without a Pastor. Elder Carlson served as a Sunday School teacher at Hope Church for nine years. Elder Carlson was called to appear before the Lord November 22nd. He was involved in an automobile accident one mile from home and died later in the hospital at Hastings. He is preceded in death by his parents, Axel and Mary Carlson, and his sister Evelyn. Elder Carlson leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Lucille; one son, Dennis Carlson of Hastings, Nebraska; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Connie) Jones of Sutton and Mrs. Mark (JoAnn) Brown of Sutton; one brother, Mr. Harvey Carlson of Sutton, Nebraska; two sisters, Mrs. Leola Cundall of Murray, Nebraska and Mrs. Eleanor Peterson of Shafter, California; and two grandchildren, Michelle and Jeffrey Jones. The Hold Bible is relevant and most comforting in our extreme sorrow when it says, "God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave; for He shall receive me." (Psalm 49:15) and Proverbs 14:32, "The righteous has hope in his death." The Rev. Howard E. Hart of Hope Reformed church preached the sermon on the text Hebrews 2:14-15. The bearers were Messrs.
