Everett Kelley Everett Kelley, 54, of Alton, Ill., formerly of Ottumwa, died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday of a heart attack. Death occurred as he was in route to Alton hospital. The son of William and Lavina Jones Kelley, he was born October 5, 1901, at Selma. He moved from Ottumwa 30 years ago and had been a resident of Alton for seven years. For more than 30 years he had been employed by the illinois Bell Telephone Co. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Alton and of the Volunteer Corps Rescue Workers. He was active in Red Cross work and also in Boy Scouts, having received the Silver Eagle Badge. Surviving are his wife, Florence; one daughter, Miss Dorothy Kelley, at home; his father William Kelley of Ottumwa, and one sister, Mrs. Ethel Johnstone of Ottumwa. His mother died in 1952. The casket will arrive in Ottumwa Friday evening and be taken to the Reece funeral home, where funeral arrangements will be pending. Kelley Services Funeral services for Everett Kelley, 54, of Alton, Ill., who died there Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Reece funeral home. The Rev. William Hyde, pastor of Wesley Methodist church, will be in charge. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. The casket will arrive in Ottumwa at 6 p.m. today. The casket will arrive in Ottumwa at 6 pm today and be taken to the funeral home.
