Tuesday, Feb. 1, 1944 at the age of 78 years, 6 months and 4 days. Funeral services were held in Denver on Thursday, Feb. 3, 1944 at 10:00 a.m. in the Second Christian Reformed Church of Denver. Following this service the remains were returned to Pella by rail. On Saturday, Feb. 5, 1944 at 12:45 a short prayer service conducted by Rev. J. Vander Ploeg was held at the Van dyk... Vander Ploeg was held at the Van dyk Funeral Home with final rites held at the Leighton Chr. Ref. church at 1:30 p.m. in charge of Rev. D. Flietstra. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery. Immediate survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rena Jansen of Denver, Colo., a son Ben Jansen of Oskaloosa, four daughters, Mrs. Dick G. De Jong of Pella, Mrs. Jacob Mol of Knoxville, Mrs. Jake Kroonenberg of Denver, and Mrs. Louis Tuinstra of Denver, Colo.
