Fryar, now lives near Hemingway at 12:40 p.m. Monday. Her death followed a prolonged illness. Funeral services will be held from the Ebenezer Methodist Church at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Bennett, Jr. Burial will follow in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Phillip Huggins, Charles Barrineau, Sam Rogers, Meridan Huggins, Clarence Haselden and Bertie Cox. Mrs. Cribb was a daughter of the late John Samuel and Isabelle Hughes Huggins, early settlers of the community where she was born Feb. 17, 1894 and was very active in church work and all community activities as long as her health permitted. She was made a life member of the Woman's Society of Christian Service of her church. She had been an active worker in the church choir for many years. Mrs Cribb was a member of the Eastern Star in Hemingway. Mrs Cribb was married twice and by her first marriage to the late Henry Ben Cox the following children survive: Mrs. Ted L. Fryar of Hemingway, Mrs. Marvin D. Smith of Andrews, one son, Decarr Cox of Florence. Her second marriage was to the late Ebbie C. Cribb and from this marriage the following children survive: two daughters, Mrs. Walter E. Britton of Hemingway, Mrs. B. R. Brenton of Manico, N.C., one son, E. L. "Buddy" Cribb of Hemingway; twenty one grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Albert True Huggins and W. Jack Huggins, both of Hemingway; one half brother, Marion Huggins of Monks Corner, two half sisters, Mrs Bl L. Sessions of Georgetown and Mrs. Ivey Cook, Jr. of St. George. Friends may call at the Morris Funeral Home here until 3 p.m. Tuesday at which time she will be taken to the church where she will lie in state until the time of the service.
