Description	:	Mrs. Fannie Kline, Conrad, 87, passed away last Tuesday at the Custodial Nursing Home in Grundy Center. She had been a resident there for 1-1/2 years. Fannie Alice, one of 11 children of Andrew Wellington Fink and Susan Henrietta Beadle, was born September 25, 1876, at Oneida, Illinois. She moved with her family to this county when 5 years of age. She had been a resident there for 1-1/2 years. Fannie Alice, one of 11 children of Andrew Wellington Fink and Susan Henrietta Beadle, was born September 25, 1876, at Oneida, Illinois. She moved with her family to this county when 5 years of age. The trip was made in a covered wagon in 1881. She attended the local school and also at Cedar Falls. She taught for several years in the country schools. On May 6, 1898, she was united in marriage to John Alvin Kline, 3 children were born to this union: Leslie E. and Laurence A. of Conrad, and Mrs. William (Irene) Groves, Des Moines. Mr. Kline died 10 years ago. Also surviving are: a brother, 7 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Alice Church of God with burial in the Alice Cemetery. Mesdames Henry Hertema and Lyle Heltibridle sang "Abide With Me" and "Shall We Gather At The River," accompanied by Pianist Mrs. Dale Callaway. Casket bearers were Lyle Heltibridle, Robert Kopsa, O. A. Stover, Lawerance Hughes, Jack Hughes and Dale Bockes. Mesdames Robert Furland and Dale Bockes were flower bearers. The Johnson Funeral Home was in charge. Mrs. Kline was a good Christian woman, a good neighbor, and a dependable person. Her influence in the community has made it a better one.
