DEAD Mrs. John Dennis of Burdette township passed away Thursday at the Pierre hospital, where she had been receiving treatment for a heart ailment, from which she had been suffering for some time. Funeral services were held Sunday from the Methodist church of this city, and interment made in the family lot in the G.A.R. Cemetery. Rev. E. B. Cooney was in charge of the service. Mrs. Dennis was the daughter of Mrs. Lenora Trotman of this city, and with the exception of a short time, lived her entire life in the Burdette community. she had the distinction of being the first white child born in Burdette township, and she made her home within a short distance of her birth place. The deceased was 46 years of age, and had she lived until September, she and her husband would have been married twenty-six years. A kind and loving wife and mother, she will be greatly missed in her home, and by the large circle of friends. Surviving her death are her husband, one son Lloyd, and a twelve year old daughter Ardith; her mother, Mrs. Lenora Trotman, one sister, Mrs. G. C.
