In 1877 her parents, moved to Cherokee county, Iowa, she coming with them. On December 20th, 1880 she was married to Daneil Dubes. As a wife she was... Read More	Chherokee Weekly Times: Oct. 3, 1901 Fannie Corkill was born in the town of Galva Henry county,Ill, on the first day of January 1861. In 1877 her parents, moved to Cherokee county, Iowa, she coming with them. On December 20th, 1880 she was married to Daneil Dubes. In the winter of '87-'88 during the great revival which occurred at the West Diamond school house, when so many in the neighborhood found Christ precious she was born again; and on the organization of Mount Olive Church she was received into it's membership remaining faithful to the last. As a wife she was affectionate, as an helpmeet she was wise in her counsels, as a mother she was faithful to her children, as a Christian she was steadfast Quiet and undemonstrative in her disposition she was widely loved and respected. She leaves to mourn their loss and rejoice because because of her gain, a husband, two daughters, and one son besides an aged father, three brothers and two sisters; her mother and a sister having gone on before. Her sufferings during the last two months were intense; and yet they were borne without a word of complaint. When told that she could live but a few weeks at most, she was resigned, expressing herself as ready to go. "The Lord a will be done" was a frequent expression from her lips. During the last few days of her life she talked with her husband of the realities of another life the heavenly home as calmly as they have for years discussed matters of interest in connection with their earthly home. With a smile, upon her face she passed into the heavenly presence of her Saviour, on the evening of September 25th, 1901, at the age of 40 years, 8 months and 21 days. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord." "Let me die the death of the righteous and let my last be like hie." The funeral services were hold on Saturday morning at Mount Olive Church, Rev. J. U. R. Wolf, her pastor, preaching the sermon, the text being Rev. 14:13. The earthly remains were laid to rest in the Good Hope cemetery. Transcribed by: Find A Grave contributor Moteland
