Davidson, near Foster, Pierce county, Neb, Feb. 20, 1895, thus having attained the good old age of 85 yeas and 4 days. She was married to Lewis L. Davidson May 12, 1826. Davidson, near Foster, Pierce county, Neb, Feb. 20, 1895, thus having attained the good old age of 85 yeas and 4 days. She was married to Lewis L. Davidson May 12, 1826. Their union was blessed with a family of twelve children, seven boys and five girls, six of whom are left to mourn her loss. Her husband, Lewis died in Illinois in 1869 and is buried there. They moved from Vermont to Illinois in 1867, in 1869 to Iowa and in 1887 to Pierce County, Neb. Sister Davidson united with the Baptist Church in early live and has lived a consistent Christian life. She was a kind, affectionate wife and mother, beloved by all, who knew her. Her death was but the crossing of the mystic stream from this life of care and anxiety to the peaceful rest of that life above. The funeral services were held a the residence of her son, Feb. 21, 1895, conducted by E.R. Adriance of Plainview, after which her form was laid to rest in the Plainview Cemetery to await the Resurrection morn. ...The Plainview News 28 Feb 1895. ******** Fannie M. married 1826 in Windham County, Jamaica Township, VT to Lewis Davidson born about 1804 in VT. Their children were Marcus, Riley, Laurette, Henrietta, Sarah, Elizabeth, Welcome Nathaniel, James, Medora and Henry. Fanny and Lewis with their children James, Welcome and Medora moved to Milton, DuPage County, IL. Welcome and James were tin peddlers at Danby, IL. In 1880 Fanny was living with her son Henry in Glidden, Carroll County, IA. Welcome also lived here with his family and is listed as a farmer. James is also in IA. By 1893 Welcome and Henry's families, along with their mother Fannie lived at Foster, Pierce County, NE. Fannie's daughter Medora "Dora" married Eli Smith and lived at Marion, Morgan County, OH. In 1900, she lived at Hancock, IA with her children Wylie, Fannie and Hattie and step nephew, John Chamberlain, her brother Welcome's stepson, who later became her son-in-law. Medora died in CO. Sarah married Charles Sheldon and raised her family in IA, as did James. Laurette married Henry C. King and lived in IL. Riley married Myria Centor and remained in VT. Marcus married Lucretia, they lived in CA with their eight children. Elizabeth, born in 1843, died June 23, 1867 at age 24. Henrietta married Lewis Williams. She died April 7, 1881 in Vermont.
