ASHTABULA — Fannie "Fran" Giddings, age 68, Ended her walk down the road to a Happy Destiny on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at home in Ashtabula, Ohio, after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Warren, Ohio, on Oct. 23, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Pollyanna (Dunlavy) Leonard.
Fran was a Supervisor for Community Counseling Ashtabula. God gave her many sisters and brothers on her journey, too numerous to mention. Fran left surrounded with God's Love and Peace in her heart.
Survivors include four sons, Harold (Sandy) Giddings of Geneva, Howard Lee Giddings of Cleveland, Harry Giddings and Herbert (Tracy) Giddings, both of Ashtabula; four grandchildren, Jeffrey and Holly Giddings of Geneva, Bronson and Brodie Giddings of Ashtabula; one great-grandson, Xander of Geneva; one sister, Paula (Gil) Brewer of Conneaut; one brother, Red Leonard of Ashtabula; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Dorris Ensman, Berl Ann Leonard and Genevieve Calica.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 8th, at the WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, Ohio, with Chaplain Roger Zale, of Hospice of the Western Reserve-Ashtabula, officiating. Interment will be in Cherry Valley Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be Monday, Jan. 7th, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
