| Description | : | Fanny and her family witnessed the surveyors working on the proposed right of way at Mechanicsville before the Northwestern Railroad was built. She helped serve dinner to the first train load of passengers to arrive in Mechanicsville. They saw the famous Comanche Cyclone in Eastern Iowa. They witnessed the broad priaries of Logan, Jones and Cedar Townships ablaze from fire. In 1878 they moved to a farm two miles north of Collins and in 1895 to a farm one and a half miles west of Rhodes. Mrs. Morrison lived there until her death at 11:30 pm.
