Fay Atta (Allinson) Clark, the daughter of Roy F. and Luva M. (Stone) Allinson, passed away peacefully at Appleton City Manor on January 30, 2017. She was born in rural St. Clair County on November 22, 1923. Fay attended Pleasant Grove School until the eighth grade, and then graduated from Appleton City High School in 1942. After graduation, she moved to Burlington, Iowa where Bell Telephone Company employed her until she married the love of her life, Charles B. Clark on May 27 1944. Together they owned and operated the feed store called Clark Produce from 1946 to 1953. Later they owned Clark Medical Supplies from 1958 to 1962 in Appleton City, Missouri. For the remainder of her life Fay was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, sewing and playing Bridge with friends. She took great pride in making some of her clothes and was a very good cook. Fay's faith was very important to her. She attended and remained an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Appleton City, until she moved to the Springfield area. There she participated in worship at Schweitzer United Methodist Church as long as she was able. Preceding Fay in death were her parents; her husband C.B.; one sister Doris Eye (Paul); one brother Bobby Allinson; two half-sisters, Mary Kopp (John) and Bernice Albert; a sister-in-law Evelyn Allinson; two brothers-in-law, Keith Dixon and Don Tindall; and a very special friend Betty Pasley. Survivors include two sisters, Betty Tindall and Royline Dixon; one brother Gerald Allinson; two sisters-in-law, Louise Allinson Bailey and Rosalie Padgham; a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and very close family friends, Dixie Zink, Susan Zink Cooper and David Zink.
