Description	:	Fay Leanna Masters, née Riphagen, died peacefully at home on April 6th, 2019 in Black Diamond, Washington at the age of 79 surrounded by her family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Fay is survived by her children, Leigh and Lisa Masters, and her grandchildren, Jared and Kendall Wold, all of Maple Valley, Washington and one of seven siblings, sister, Sharla De Jager of Iowa. Fay is survived by her children, Leigh and Lisa Masters, and her grandchildren, Jared and Kendall Wold, all of Maple Valley, Washington and one of seven siblings, sister, Sharla De Jager of Iowa. Fay was born on February 8, 1940 in Maurice, Iowa to Gerrit Henry Riphagen and Henrietta Johanna Van Marel. Shortly after graduating from high school, Fay moved to Long Beach California, and began a lifelong career at Pacific Bell where she eventually retired from at the age of 57. In 1963 Fay married Robert Edgar Masters and they had twin girls, Leigh and Lisa, moving to the Bay Area where they raised their children. After divorcing in 1982, Fay remained in the Bay area, followed by moves to Sacramento, California and then to Washington to be close to her daughters and grandchildren. Fay loved music and was in several choirs. She had an extensive music collection and would break out in spontaneous song at any given moment.
