Description	:	Fay McCoy, 89, of Laughlin Health Care Center, formerly of the Greystone community, died Saturday at the center. Mr. McCoy was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church. He was the last survivor in the family of G.W. and Margaret McCoy and was the widower of Jessie Lee Mercer McCoy. He was the last survivor in the family of G.W. and Margaret McCoy and was the widower of Jessie Lee Mercer McCoy. Survivors include a son: John Fay McCoy and a daughter and son-in-law: Betty Jean and Dr. William Carl Thacker of Greeneville; three grandchildren and two special grandsons-in-law: William Carl Thacker II of Johnson City, Julia Ann (Thacker) and Jeffrey Wilson of Greeneville, and Sally (McCoy) and John Winegard of Indianapolis, Ind.; three great-grandchildren: Wyatt Wilson, Emely Winegard, and Leann Winegard; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: John Weldon and Mary Ann Mercer of Crossville, Dawson and Margaret Mercer, Albert and Millie Mercer, Paul Dean and Pat Mercer, Ray Hopson, and Jule Hopson, all of Greene County. The family received friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Gethsemane UM Church with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Richard Cassidy will officiate. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Pallbearers will be nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Gethsemane Cemetery Fund.
