Description	:	Ferdinand Siegfried Bogner, 88, of Crofton died Thursday at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, S.D. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Church in Crofton. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Monday with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. and a rosary at 8 p.m. at Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton. Married to Hermenia Elizabeth Kohles on 27 September 1937 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Earling, Iowa. ∼ Mr. Bogner died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, S.D. The son of Otto and Bernadine (Schnuettgen), he was born July 15, 1910, at Crofton. He graduated from Crofton High School in 1929 and then helped build and manage Bogner's Station. In 1943, he became postmaster of Crofton and later became a rural mail carrier until retiring in 1973. Among his many hobbies were writing letters to the editors of newspapers and other columns. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and its choir. He also was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and a former Crofton volunteer firefighter. On Sept. 27, 1937 he married Hermenia E. Kohles at Earling, Iowa. Survivors include his wife; children and spouses, Sandra and Bud McDonald of Crofton and Phoenix, Ariz., Paul and Nancy Bogner of Waxahacie, Texas, Jerry Bogner of Crofton, Marie and Chuck Panipinto of Portland, Ore., Carolyn and Dean Mueller of Omaha, Diane Pravecek of Lawrence, Kans., and Joan and Mike Munoz of Newton, Iowa. He also leaves 15 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Ott and Norbert, both of Crofton; sisters, Delores Habermann and Ramona Maule, both of Scottsdale, Ariz.
