Also surviving are her sisters Margaret Johnson of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Judy Joyner of Lawton Okla.; along with eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Private cremation was conducted at Westlawn Crematorium and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Iowa. Contributions may be made to the Children's Foundation, 7051 E. Jordan Ranch Road, Pearce, AZ 85625. Arrangements are under the direction of Westlawn Chapel & Mortuary in Willcox." The birth date reflected in the obituary for Fern is in question per Annie in Minnesota F.A.G. # 8990890 who sends along the following: "Iowa, Births and Christenings Index, 1857-1947 about Fern Raine Pearson Name: Fern Raine Pearson Birth Date: 20 Nov 1931 Birth Place: Iowa, United States Father's Name: Harry S Pearson Mother's Name: Pink Ranson FHL Film Number: 1871070" BE ADVISED Note that Annie has indicated that "Ransom" is "Ranson" which may be a typo as may the birth date in the bio or in the FHL transcription. The Iowa birth record for Pink shows the name as "Ransom" and that is in handwriting and is not a transcription.
