Description	:	Ferne Louise Watson, age 85, of Eagle Rock, MO, passed away at her home on Friday, July 28, 2017. Ferne, daughter of Oliver Perry & Bessie Fern {Ellers} Reynolds, was born on November 20, 1931, at the family home in Macon County. She was a 1950 graduate of Clarence High School in Clarence, MO, and subsequently enlisted in the United States Air Force. Ferne, daughter of Oliver Perry & Bessie Fern {Ellers} Reynolds, was born on November 20, 1931, at the family home in Macon County. She was a 1950 graduate of Clarence High School in Clarence, MO, and subsequently enlisted in the United States Air Force. She served her country proudly for three years and became a founding member of the Women’s Air Force Band and its first drum major. In February of 1953, she was united in marriage to Allen Christman Watson in San Antonio, TX; he preceded her in death on May 8, 1997. She and her husband owned and operated Watson Plumbing in Clarence. Later she moved to Eagle Rock to be near her daughter Joan after Allen’s death. Ferne was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan and never missed a chance to watch their games. She enjoyed her family, her cabin in the woods surrounded by beautiful wildlife; the trees and the sounds of her birds. Ferne was active in the Democratic Party, the Clarence United Methodist Church and later the All Faith United Methodist Church in Eagle Rock, the United Methodist Women, American Legion Post #309 and V.F.W. Post # 8177 both in Clarence, Missouri, and several other organizations. Ferne was a loving, caring person and will be missed by many. Survivors include one son, James Allen Watson, of Clarence; one daughter, Betty Sue Watson, of Arnold; four grandchildren, Alexander Watson and his wife Holly, of Rothville, Angela Watson Robertson and her husband Scott, of Prairie Village, KS, Amber Hylton-Nuttle and her husband Jeromy, of Republic, and Casey Banks and her husband Kristopher, of Vancouver, WA; two great-grandchildren, Phoebe and Rhilynn Hylton-Nuttle; two brothers, Herschel Ray Reynolds and Perry Allen Reynolds; and many nieces and nephews. Ferne was preceded in death by one infant son, Robert Watson on January 17, 1962; one daughter, Joan Delea Andrews on April 30, 2012; four brothers, Oliver Pete Reynolds, Junior Lee Reynolds, Bobbie Dean Reynolds, Johnny Herman Reynolds; six sisters, Juanita Mell Carothers, Mildred Hanlin, Ollie Hirrlinger, Dorothy Morgan, Bessie Maxine Doctor and Ethel Geraldine Naylor. Memorial contributions may be to Camp Jo-Ota United Methodist Church Camp in Clarence, or All Faith United Methodist Church in Eagle Rock, and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625. A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, August 4, 2017, at the White Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Olson officiating. A service will be held at a later date at the United Methodist Church in Clarence with internment to follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Clarence. Cremation and local arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory Cassville, Missouri
