Ferris, 57, of Bald Knob leaves many loving memories to comfort his family and friends. He was born in Bald Knob to Roscoe and Audrey Gaye Price, who have both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ermal Gaye Price; and two brothers, John R. and Curtis Price. He was born in Bald Knob to Roscoe and Audrey Gaye Price, who have both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ermal Gaye Price; and two brothers, John R. and Curtis Price. Ferris lived in James Creek with his wife Addie “Tippi.” He was a 30-year member of the UMWA. He retired from Rock Lick Tipple where he worked as a mobile equipment operator and was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service from 1965 to 1975. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Ferris “Redbone” Price Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Barrett; a daughter, Sherry Crouse and her husband, Phillip “B-Man,” of James Creek; two grandsons, Dakota Price and Logan Crouse; two stepgranddaughters, Berea Crouse and Megan Browning; three brothers, Boris of Uneeda, Charles of Wharton and Connie of Madison; and six sisters, Kathleen Belcher of Glen Daniels, Iris Price of Low Gap, Audrey Boggs of James Creek, Betty Puckett of Mineral Wells, Texas, Darlene Bailey of Barrett and Shirley Broom of Madison. His children and grandsons are a part of him that remains behind to live on. He was loved deeply by his wife, children, grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with the Rev. Tommy Perry and the Rev. Scott Elswick officiating. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery, Bald Knob.
