Flora Emma Gramlich was born March 29, 1891, the daughter of Henry and Christina Gramlich at Lansing, Iowa and passed away quite suddenly at her home in Greeley, Iowa, on March 11, while being preparded to be taken to a Manchester hospital. She spent her childhood in and around Lansing, attended the rural schools there and was confirmed in the Methodist church. She was united in marriage with Edward Wessel, September 20, 1911. They made their home at Edgewood, Iowa. Twin children, Bernice and Burdette were born to them. On July 1, 1920, the husband passed away. Two years later Flora and the children moved to Greeley and on July 14, 1923, she was united in marriage with John Luense. A loyal member of the Women's Society of Christian service. The literary club and the Garden club she and her husband were members of the Greeley grange No. 2219. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Christina Gramlich of Lansing, Iowa, her husband, John Luense, and two children Mrs. Robert Lindsay of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Burdette Wessel of Colesburg, eleven grandchildren also two stepsons, Elmer of South Carolina and Harlan of Greeley. One sister, Mrs. Walter Fritz of Edgewood and two brothers, Edward and Dewey Gramlich of Lansing. Flora was a devoted wife and a good mother. She was a good neighbor and has many friends who join with the family in their sudden bereavement.
