Read More	Mrs. Flora Jane Bolivar 1961 Bridgewater Bulletin The community of Branch LaHave was again saddened when it was learned that Mrs. Flora Jane Bolivar, an aged and respected resident, had passed peacefully away early Friday morning, March 3rd, at the home of her son, Edgar and family, with whom she resided for the past year and was tenderly cared for during that time. Althought not in the best of health for some time, her condition seemed improved and her sudden death came as a shock to her family and many other relatives and friends. On January 20th, she celebrated her 83 rd. birthday. Of a kind and cheery disposition, always willing to help others and with a smile for all, she will be greatly missed in her family circle. She was the daughter of the late Ephraim and Sarah (Rodenhizer) Rodenhizer of Farmington. She is survived by three daughters, Viola (Mrs. Mark Simmons), Worcester. Mass.; Florence (Mrs. Foster Lohnes), Upper Northfield; Effie (Mrs. Delmer Conrad), Branch LaHave; and two sons, Edgar and Elverd, also of Branch LaHave. Two sisters, Mrs. Florence Sarty, Scarsdale and Mrs. Freelove Foss, Farmington; three brothers, Wallace and Webster, Farmington and Wilson of Dayspring also survive. There are thirty-three grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren. Her husband, the late Enos Bolivar predeceased her on November 30th, 1955. She was also predeceased by one sister, (Della), Mrs. Silas Baker, New Germany and one brother, Whitford of Dayspring some years ago. Funeral services which were largely attended were held from St. James Lutheran Church on Sunday, March 5th, at 1 p.m., conducted by Lic. Stewart MacLearn of the New Canada Baptist Church (of which she was a member) assisted by the Rev. Donald Himmelman of St. James Lutheran Church. Hymns rendered were "The Old Rugged Cross," "In The Garden," "and "What A Friend We Have in Jesus," favourites of the deceased. Pall bearers were four grandsons, Earl, Elwood, Ernest, and Eldridge Bolivar. Interment at Branch LaHave Cemetery. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
