Rev. Don Gordon, minister of the church, officiated at the services. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park. Flora Orisa Beeson, daughter of Eber L. and Sarah Ann Davis Cox, was born in Adair, Iowa, March 22, 1881. She came with her parents to Nebraska when a small child. She was united in marriage to Alonzo Milan Beeson on December 14, 1898, at McCook, Nebraska, and to this union 10 children were born. She was a member of the Christian Church at Bartley, Nebraska, transferring her membership to the First Christian Church in Holyoke. She came to Colorado with her husband and family in April 1912, and homesteaded north of Laird, living there until 1932 and then moving to the Holyoke area. She has made her home in the Haxtun rest home since 1969. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo, her parents, two sons, four daughters, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Opal Chandler and Mrs. Lillie Foster, Holyoke; Mrs. Ethel Stewart, Barley, Nebraska; Mrs. Violet Robinson, Junieta, Nebraska; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Florence Beeson, Yuma; a sister, Mrs. Rosa Brush, Bartley, Nebraska; 26 grandchildren; 68 great grandchildren; 16 (18?) great great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
