Born in the Mount Paran area of Blacksburg, S.C. she was the widow of Bobby Gene Carrigan and the daughter of the Late James Emmett Dover and Maybelle Carroll Dover. Born in the Mount Paran area of Blacksburg, S.C. she was the widow of Bobby Gene Carrigan and the daughter of the Late James Emmett Dover and Maybelle Carroll Dover. Mrs. Carrigan was blessed with many talents, among those were playing piano, drawing/painting, and a love for all animals, and was in the healthcare field. Along with her husband they raised their family in Kings Mountain, N.C. before moving to Blacksburg, S.C. Mrs. Carrigan is survived 3 daughters, Robin Carrigan Dover of Blacksburg, Crystal Carrigan Knight and husband (Terry) of Blacksburg, and Jada Tiffany Williams and Fiance (Vincent Rees) of Kings Mountain, N.C.; 3 grandchildren, Danielle Owens Cooper of Blacksburg, Cody Knight of Colorado, and Nash Styers and wife (Macey) of Grover, N.C.; one great granddaughter, Shawna Cooper of Blacksburg, and 6 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Jeff Carrigan, an infant Son Danny Carrigan, 3 great rrandsons, Marshall L. Cooper, Jeffrey Daves, Nathan Cooper, son-in-law, Danny Owens, and 4 brothers. The family will receive friends Friday, November 19, from 2-3 p.m. at White Columns Funeral Services, 102 N. Rutherford St. Blacksburg, S.C. 29702. Funeral services immediate to follow with Rev. Michael Owen officiating. Entombment will be in the mausoleum of Clingman Memorial Gardens, 1219 E. Cherokee St. Blacksburg, S.C. 29702. The family will be at their respective homes. She is survived by her son; Edwin Gilman of Blacksburg, her daughters; Heidi Childers of Blacksburg, Candace Gilman (Greg Kinlaw) of Blacksburg, Julie Britt, (Special friend, Michael Helms of Tar Heel N.C., Tara Moss (Robbie) of Blacksburg and Crystal Foley of Cameron N.C. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 20th from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, S.C.. Servic.es will immediately follow at 3 p.m..
