JOE HARMAN Flora Viola, youngest daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Brumley was born near Stiles, Davis County, Iowa on November 20, 1873 and passed away December 6, 1938, near Bloomfield Iowa age 65 years and 16 days. On March 6, 1895 she was united in marriage with Joseph Harman. To this union, one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Bickel was born. Mrs. Bickel and her four children live with her parents. On March 6, 1895 she was united in marriage with Joseph Harman. To this union, one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Bickel was born. Mrs. Bickel and her four children live with her parents. Mrs. Harman was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Loved and respected by all who knew her, she will be greatly missed in the home and community. Most of her life has been spent near Milton, Iowa, having lived the past 29 years on their farm south of Milton. Mrs. Harman and her husband, daughter and granddaughter, Geraldine, had gone to Bloomfield and their way home met with an accident which caused her instant death. Mrs. Harman united with the Methodist church at Stiles in February 1893 under the pastorate of Rev. John Wilkins and remained a faithful Christian. She is survived by her husband, daughter Hazel, four grandchildren, Crystal, Irene, Claude Gene and Geraldine, one brother Henry Brumley and one sister, Mrs. Mary Bradbury, both of Bloomfield, Iowa, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Her father, mother and one sister preceded her in death. Her death has cast a gloom over the community. Dearest Mother, Thou has left us. A voice we loved is stilled; A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled. God in his wisdom has recalled, The boon his love had given, And thought the body slumbers here, The soul is safe in Heaven. Funeral services were held in the Milton Methodist Episcopal Church, Thursday at2 p.m. The Rev. Harvey E Butler conducted the services. The body was placed in the South Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
