Description	:	DARLENE MCMORRAN Florence Darlene (Orr) McMorran, daughter of Glenn Robert Orr and Florence Delilah Robison, was born at Altoona, Pennsylvania, August 13, 1929, and passed away at the Rosary Hospital in Corning, Iowa, Monday afternoon, May 9, 1977, at the age of 47 years, 8 months, and 26 days, after a short illness. Darlene moved to the Carbon community with her family when she was quite young and spent her childhood here. On August 24, 1946, she was united in marriage with Homer “Pete” McMorran at Troy, Kansas. Read More	DARLENE MCMORRAN Florence Darlene (Orr) McMorran, daughter of Glenn Robert Orr and Florence Delilah Robison, was born at Altoona, Pennsylvania, August 13, 1929, and passed away at the Rosary Hospital in Corning, Iowa, Monday afternoon, May 9, 1977, at the age of 47 years, 8 months, and 26 days, after a short illness. Darlene moved to the Carbon community with her family when she was quite young and spent her childhood here. On August 24, 1946, she was united in marriage with Homer “Pete” McMorran at Troy, Kansas. One daughter, Penny, was born to bless this union. Darlene was preceded in death by her father in March of 1960; a brother, Glenn, and a sister Enice in infancy. She is survived by her husband, “Pete” of Nodaway; her daughter and son-in-law, Bunny and Lynn LaRae of Valley, Nebraska; 3 grandchildren, Trisa, Charles, and Lynn; and her mother, Florence Orr of Casey. Also surviving are four brothers, Harvey Orr and his wife Elsie of Red Oak; George Orr and his wife Berniece of Nodaway; Dean Orr and his wife Virginia of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and Frank Orr Jr. and his wife Lucia of Boonville, Arkansas; three sisters, Grace Weber of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Mrs. Leonard (Doris) Thompson of Casey, Iowa, and Mrs. Bill (Rozella) Keever of Wichita, Kansas, and her sister-in-law, Violet Orr of St. Helen, Oregon; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and may friends. Darlene was a member of the Methodist Church, and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister by her family. Funeral services were held at the Larkin Roland Funeral Home in Corning, May 12, 1977 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev Lewis Hunter officiating. Interment was in the Nodaway Cemetery. Music was provided by Marty Kernen, organist. Pall bearers were Kenneth McCuen, Marvin Baldwin, Kenneth Means, Bill Peterson, Hartford Cooper, and Malcolm Shipley.
