Description	:	Florence Brackman Cleveland, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at the Cooney Home. Florence was born on Sept. 17, 1913, in Helena to Otto L. and Agatha (Bergt) Brackman. She attended Helena schools and graduated in 1930. While attending Intermountain College in Helena, she met her husband Truman C. Cleveland. She also went to beauty college in Portland, Ore. Florence and Truman were married on July 10, 1934, in Helena and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Read More	Florence Brackman Cleveland, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at the Cooney Home. Florence was born on Sept. 17, 1913, in Helena to Otto L. and Agatha (Bergt) Brackman. She attended Helena schools and graduated in 1930. While attending Intermountain College in Helena, she met her husband Truman C. Cleveland. She also went to beauty college in Portland, Ore. Florence and Truman were married on July 10, 1934, in Helena and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Helena, where she served as reader several times. She was also a member of the Mother Church in Boston. She enjoyed her yard and her many flower gardens. From these she would prepare exquisite bouquets, many of which were displayed at the church's Sunday service. Florence was also the librarian at the Christian Science Reading Room for many years. After her husband's death in 1984, Florence particularly enjoyed her membership in PEO, Chapter A.A., where she served as chaplain. She was also a member of the Republican Women, Westerners, Metropolitan Dinner Club and was an avid supporter of the Florence Crittenton Home, where she served for many years as the treasurer of the Circle. She also was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and would receive calls from service men and their relatives in times of emergencies or deaths in the family, coordinating emergency leaves. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband Truman and her twin brothers, Marvin and Lewis Brackman. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Verna and Jack Krout of Petaluma, Calif.; her children, daughter and son-in-law Diann and Jim Fradette of Helena; son and daughter-in-law Clark and Sharon Cleveland of Colville, Wash.; and daughter and son-in- law, Gail Cleveland and Bruce Tannehill of Whitefish; grandchildren, David and John Fradette of Helena; Donald Fradette of Missoula; Corey Cleveland of Collville, Wash.; and Cindy Paige of Portland; five great-grandchildren: Patrick and Lucas Fradette, Logan Fradette and Samantha and Isabelle Cleveland, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held for immediate family and relatives. Memorials in honor of Florence to the Florence Crittenton Home, 901 N. Harris, Helena, MT 59601; or to the PEO Education Fund, Chapter A.A., c/o Kathy Ruppert, 58 Pine Ridge Circle, Clancy, MT 59634. Hagler-Anderson Funeral Home has been entrusted to local arrangements.
