Description	:	Florence Mattern, 90, of Strasburg died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, in Strasburg Florence was born May 17, 1915. Florence was one of eleven children born to Cathrine (Eilen) and Mike Feyereisen. She was raised and educated in Braddock. On May 29, 1933, she married Hubert Becker. They lived in Braddock for several years before settling in Linton, where they raised eight children. Hubert passed away May 9, 1964. Florence married Theodore Mattern on Aug. 8, 1969. Read More	Florence Mattern, 90, of Strasburg died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, in Strasburg Florence was born May 17, 1915. Florence was one of eleven children born to Cathrine (Eilen) and Mike Feyereisen. She was raised and educated in Braddock. On May 29, 1933, she married Hubert Becker. They lived in Braddock for several years before settling in Linton, where they raised eight children. Hubert passed away May 9, 1964. Florence married Theodore Mattern on Aug. 8, 1969. Ted passed away September 13, 1982. Florence was a cook for St. Anthony's school, Linton Hospital, Linton Public School and the Strasburg Nursing Home. She was a member of the Catholic daughters and the Linton Senior Citizens. She enjoyed bowling on the Senior Bowling League. She'll be remembered there, for her quick wit and laughter. Florence moved to the Strasburg Care Center on July 10, 1998. Grateful to have shared her life were three sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Hilda Becker of Buckeye, Ariz., Robert and Gracia Becker, Omaha, Neb., William and Brenda Becker, Greensboro, N.C.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Donna and Melvin Forderer of Ulen, Minn., Suzanne Becker of Bismarck, Janice and Terry Burgad of Bismarck and Kathy and Alvin Mosset of Linton; nineteen grandchildren and forty-two great grandchildren; one brother, Ervin Feyereisen of Lewiston, Idaho, three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Mary and Lee Walerus of El Cajon, Calif., Irene and Les Selvester of Grass Valley, Calif., and her twin sister, Esther Henry of Springfield, Ore. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, Hubert and Theodore, two infants, one son, Calvin, two brothers, Adolph and Arthur Feyereisen, four sisters, Louis Baker, Ida Henry, Isabelle Tour and Beatrice Driscoll. Burial was in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Myers Funeral Home of Linton. Casketbearers were Jim Becker, Donnie Becker, Jesse Burgad, Russell "Rusty" Becker, Jr., Melvyn Forderer and Mitchel Forderer. Emmons County Record
