Description	:	Florence E. (Ramer) Gerber, daughter of Amon and Eva (Shellenberger) Ramer, was born November 7, 1921 in Duchess, Alberta, Canada. Loren M. Gerber, son of Edward and Bertha (Plank) Gerber, was born April 29, 1923 in Harper. They both attended the Harper schools and graduated from Harper High School where they were high school sweethearts. (Ramer) Gerber, daughter of Amon and Eva (Shellenberger) Ramer, was born November 7, 1921 in Duchess, Alberta, Canada. Loren M. Gerber, son of Edward and Bertha (Plank) Gerber, was born April 29, 1923 in Harper. They both attended the Harper schools and graduated from Harper High School where they were high school sweethearts. On November 16, 1947, they were united in marriage at the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church in Harper, where they were faithful members since their youth. Three children blessed this marriage, Larry, Allen, and Marilyn. They made their home in Argonia, Kansas where Loren farmed and Florence was busy with the raising of their children. Loren spent many years as a welder to supplement his farming income. Eventually he started his own appliance repair business while continuing to farm in Argonia. In 1981 they sold the farm and moved to their current home in Harper where Loren continued with his repair business. On Thursday afternoon, December 17, as they were returning to their home in Harper, they were involved in an auto accident about four miles east of Suppesville, Kansas. Tuesday evening, December 22, 2009, in the presence of their family they passed away, Loren, at the age of 86, and Florence, age 88. Loren was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother and one sister, Orva Massanari. Florence was preceded by her parents; her husband, Loren by about eight minutes; brothers Elmer Ramer, Merlin Ramer, Titus Ramer and sisters Mildred Miller and Esther Unruh. They will be missed by their children: Larry Gerber and his wife, Kristy of Olathe, Kansas; Allen Gerber and his wife, Jan, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Marilyn Gerber of Wichita, Kansas; a sister Helen Mast of York Penn. and four grandchildren: Jennifer, Jason, Annie and Amos; and many friends and relatives.
