She was born to Helen & Herman Peterson on December 25th, 1925 in Berthold, North Dakota. She was the second youngest of six brothers and sisters. All have preceded her in passage. Read More	Florence I (Peterson) Mossey (age 89) (December 22, 1925 ~ July 3, 2015) Toddy (Florence) Mossey, 89 years young, passed from our mortal lives, & received her beautiful new wings on July 3rd, 2015, in Spokane, WA. She was born to Helen & Herman Peterson on December 25th, 1925 in Berthold, North Dakota. She was the second youngest of six brothers and sisters. All have preceded her in passage. She was married to Leonard R. Mossey after he returned from his duties in WWII and they spent their lives living in Troy, Montana. As I sit writing this, I realize that I cannot find the words that describe the beautiful person she has been to all of us! Toddy loved music, and shared her natural talent on the piano with us through many years. She did not read music. It all came from the heart! She played in a wonderful swing band, with our father on saxophone, and their primary drummer, Luke Countryman, from the fifties into the eighties. They were a very popular band in their day. She continued playing her music quite often at the Libby care center, and the Hot Club in Troy. She loved her yard….endlessly pulling weeds, planting, rearranging, and caring for her favorite flowers. She also loved her lawn ornaments, most notably her famous large pink flamingos, which have been in many newspaper articles, and in the photo archives of so many tourists that would stop and take pictures of the yard. As you all know, she loved decorating the house and yard for every holiday that exists! (Smile) We surely don’t know what we are going to do with a house full of all the creative decorations! She loved animals. Toddy was always feeding the local squirrels & birds and had a very big fondness for humming birds. OH! I cannot forget honorable mentions for her best companion of the last few years, Gee Gee, her cat. Toddy just never grew up! This year she took to having her finger nails decorated with special designs. She was very proud of them. She had so many plans for her yard, loved her sports car, with her personal license plates of “HOT TODDY”. We were all surprised to find early this year that she had the terrible disease that took her from us far too soon! We can all learn and follow life from her loving example of a beautiful human being. I wish we were all like her! Hugs & Many Thanks for all of your friendships! She is survived by two daughters; one son; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; plus very many fond relatives and amazing friends. A time for her memorial has not been set.
