Dimmitt, 90, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Aug. 4, 1984, at a hospital in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Oct. 16, 1893, in Ottumwa, to Thomas and Edith Parkinson German. She was township clerk for 16 years and organist and choir director of the Episcopal Church in Agency. Dimmitt, 90, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Aug. 4, 1984, at a hospital in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Oct. 16, 1893, in Ottumwa, to Thomas and Edith Parkinson German. She was township clerk for 16 years and organist and choir director of the Episcopal Church in Agency. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Rebekkah Lodge 455 of Agency, Wapello County Rural Chorus and past president of the Farmers Union. A member of the Democratic Party, she belonged to the Belle Vista Newcomers and the Belle Vista Extension Service. She married Earl Dimmitt Feb. 19, 1918, at Wapello County. She is survived by her husband; a son, Gordon of Belle Vista Ark.; a daughter, Edith Kitchell of Des Moines; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, John German of Massachusetts; and a niece. The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery. A Rebekkah service will be held 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, followed by visitation. Memorials can be made to the Agency Rebekkah Lodge.
