One of 13 children, Flo was born April 12, 1933, in Balta, N.D., to Simon and Katherine Vetsch. In 1951, the family relocated to East Helena where she met and married Edward Meade. They had one son, Neil. Following Edward’s death, Flo married the love of her life, Joe Smith. Their love produced Cassandra and Mark.
