She departed from this life on March 11, 1978, at the Nelson Good Samaritan Center at the age of 95 years and 13 days. She moved with her parents, to Burchard, Nebraska, when very young, where they lived for only a few years. From there they moved to the Beulah vicinity. Read More	Lena Floy (NOTE: typed as written in newspaper) Barrows, daughter of John Calvin & Ann Eliza Nash, was born February 26, 1883, at College Springs, Iowa. She departed from this life on March 11, 1978, at the Nelson Good Samaritan Center at the age of 95 years and 13 days. She moved with her parents, to Burchard, Nebraska, when very young, where they lived for only a few years. From there they moved to the Beulah vicinity. She became a member of the United Presbyterian Church at a very early age. Later on she transferred her membership to the Beulah Reformed Presbyterian Church and later to the Superior Beulah Reformed Presbyterian Church, where she belonged at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to William James Martin on December 18, 1901. To this union were born two children. Preceding her in death were her husband, William, who died on February 8, 1954, and her son, Homer Sheldon, in 1937. She moved to Nelson in 1956 and was united in marriage to Albert Paul Barrows on October 19, 1960. Floy and her husband moved to the Nelson Good Samaritan Center on August 13, 1971. Mr. Barrows passed away December 16, 1972. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Mrs. LuVerne Killough of Tempe, Arizona; two granddaughters, Mrs. Barbara Thompson and Mrs. Patsy Kwiatkowski; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Donald (Wilma) Ward of Novato, California; nine great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, March 13, at the Klawitter Funeral Home Chapel in Nelson. Rev. T.M. Hutcheson officiated. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery.
