Description	:	A tragic accident occurred a week ago this afternoon at Berthoud Pass, near Idaho Springs, Colorado, when Homer Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Martin of Mt. Clare, was instantly killed. He was working on the roads in the mountains on a huge caterpillar tractor dull dozer, when it encountered soft ground, slipped and threw him in such a manner as to crush badly the upper part of his body, causing instant death. He was brought home and the funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Beulah church, with interment in the Nelson cemetery (sic). Deceased is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Martin of Mt. Clare, who are left to mourn him. He leaves also his wife, formerly Wilma McCreedy, and a nine year old daughter, Barbara Lee. They resided at Denver. Attending the funeral from Denver, were: Mr. and Mrs. Jim McCreedy, Mrs. H.D. Lair, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Grotberg and Barbara, and Mrs. H.H. Martin and Betty.
