Description	:	TWISP _ Floyd A. Kent, 89, of Twisp, died Thursday, July 15, 1993, in Harmony House at Brewster. He was born April 9, 1904, to Charles and Sarah (Barnes) Kent, at Ladysmith, Wis. He moved with his family to Washington in 1908 and settled in the Bellevue area. He married Anna R. Read in 1927, at Puyallup, and they made their first home in the Methow Valley at Libby Creek. They then moved to the Mt. McKinney area above Winthrop where they raised their family. They moved to Bellevue in 1942, and Mr. Kent worked in the shipyards. Read More	TWISP _ Floyd A. He moved with his family to Washington in 1908 and settled in the Bellevue area. He married Anna R. Read in 1927, at Puyallup, and they made their first home in the Methow Valley at Libby Creek. They then moved to the Mt. McKinney area above Winthrop where they raised their family. They moved to Bellevue in 1942, and Mr. Kent worked in the shipyards. They returned to North Central Washington the next year, and the family made their home at Winthrop where they built a gas station and store. They moved to Alaska in 1953 with the three youngest children. Mr. Kent worked as a carpenter on the ''White Alice'' project and other jobs in Kenai and Anchorage. They returned to the valley in 1960, and they moved to Twisp, where Mr. Kent lived until moving to Harmony House. Mr. Kent had also worked as a gandy dancer on the railroad and worked in logging on the Olympic Peninsula. He had also worked at the Azurite Mine near Harts Pass in the 1930s, at Grand Coulee Dam building homes for the engineers in 1935, and drove logging trucks for the Wetzel Mill, the Fender Mill and Wagner Mill. He is survived by a son, Read Kent of Homer, Alaska; six daughters, Betty Bachman of Wenatchee, Doris McConnell of Twisp, Elinore Drake of Winthrop, Joan Flynn of Woodinville, Nancy Kamstra of Winthrop and Judi Maness of Anchorage; 25 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, in 1978, two infant daughters and a granddaughter. Arrangements are by Precht-Harrison Chapel, Omak.
