Description	:	Floyd A. Lindekugel Floyd A. Lindekugel, 88, of Gothenburg, died Aug. 25, 2014, at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg. He was born on Sept. 12, 1925, in Hershey, the son of Fredrick William “Bill” and Clara (Culp) Lindekugel. Floyd grew up in the Hershey and Brady areas and attended schools there. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country for three years during World War II on the US Corregidor, USS Mission Bay and USS Barnwell. Lindekugel, 88, of Gothenburg, died Aug. 25, 2014, at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg. He was born on Sept. 12, 1925, in Hershey, the son of Fredrick William “Bill” and Clara (Culp) Lindekugel. Floyd grew up in the Hershey and Brady areas and attended schools there. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country for three years during World War II on the US Corregidor, USS Mission Bay and USS Barnwell. Floyd married Marjorie Sherman on April 30, 1954, at Lexington. They lived in North Platte from 1954-59. They lived in San Bernardino, Calif., from 1959-85 while Floyd worked as a sheet metal worker in Riverside. After retirement, they returned to Nebraska, making their home in Gothenburg. Floyd was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Jerry; grandson, Tim Lindekugel; brothers, August, Charles, Ivan and Ervin Lindekugel; sisters, Bertha and Edna Lindekugel and Esther Founds. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; son, Jim (Shelly) Lindekugel; daughters, Paula (Larry) Hashman and Joan (Tom) Lunsford; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Wynne; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Online condolences may be left for the family at blasestrauser.com Cremation was chosen. Memorial services and inurnment at Gaslin Cemetery will be at a later date. Blase Strauser Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
