He married Edith Standley March 24,1930.She died May 3,1982. He married Leona McShane Sept.3,1983,in Fairfield.She survives. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening. In addition to his wife, Survivors include one daughter, Vivian Nelson of Normal,ILL.one son,Donnie of Exceisier Springs,Mo.one step daughter, Pat McShane Gearhart of Dixon,ILL. two brothers, Ray of Stockport and Glen of Fairfield;one sister,Nellie Mahon of Keosaqua;eight grandchildren;17 greatgrandchildren;four stepgreat- grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his first wife,he was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister,Bessie; and three brothers Chet,Tom,Mark "Mike".
