Errett Boyer, Ottumwa and Carl Boyer, Ottumwa; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Smith, Ottumwa; Mrs. Eluda Franklin, Ottumwa; Mrs. Blanche Young, Davenport and Mrs. Letha Dorn, Ottumwa. He was married to Bertha Mary Boyer September 28, 1930. She preceded him in death September 26, 1949. He also was preceded in death by one sister, Florine. The casket will arrive in Ottumwa Thursday morning and be taken to the Johnson funeral chapel to await completion of funeral arrangements. “DEWITT SERVICES,” From “Ottumwa Courier,” June 26, 1952: Funeral services for Floyd F. DeWitt will be held at 1:20 p.m. Friday at the Johnson funeral chapel. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. The Rev. Donald H. Gill of the First Christian church will be in charge. Mr. DeWitt, 65, a former Ottumwan, died Wednesday morning in a Monmouth, Ill., hospital. Pallbearers will be employes of the smoke meat department of John Morrell & Co., where Mr. DeWitt worked. They are to be Lester Bishop, Luther Reese, Robert Smith, Leslie Peterson, Earl Beal, and Roy Davis.
