Description	:	Floyd G. Ramsdell, age 71, of Powers Lake, formerly of the Kenmare and Mohall areas, died Monday, June 1, 1987 at the U. S. A .F. Regional Hospital in Minot. His funeral was Thursday, June 4, 1987, at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Powers Lake. Officiating for the service was Rev. Stuart Fankhanel of the Christ Lutheran Church of Lignite. Burial followed at 5 p.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery in Kenmare. Casketbearers included Lloyd Mattern, Lawrence Mattern, Gerald Ramsdell, Gene Ramsdell, Darel Ramsdell and Alvin Quitt. He was born on November 8, 1915 at Norma, ND, a son of John A. and Laura (Thompson) Ramsdell and raised in that area where he attended rural schools. He served in the U. S. Army from Sept. of 1941 to Oct. 1945 and returned to the Kenmare area following his discharge. He was married to Elinor Pritchard on Oct. 24, 1946 at Kelso, WA, and they lived there for a short where he worked as a carpenter. They then returned to the Kenmare-Mohall area and began farming until his retirement in 1976. They then moved to Powers Lake. He was a member of the Heidenberg- Peterson Post No. 64 of Kenmare American Legion, had served as Kenmare Township, Ward Co. Supervisor for a number of Years. He is survived by his wife of Powers Lake; sons, Prace of Minot, Dick of Kenmare, and Gary of Ray; daughter, Karen Hawkinson of Tioga; 11 grandchildren ans a sister, Laura Brown of Kelso, WA.
