Description	:	Floyd H. Wheeler, 90, of the Cairo area died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Tiffany Square Care Center in Grand Island. Mr. Wheeler was born Oct. 5, 1919, in Boone County on the family farm to Homer E. and Florence (Ogden) Wheeler. Survivors include three sisters and brothers-in-law, Reva Berens of Grand Island, Veda and Richard Bruner of Shelton and Marilyn and James Nelson of Boelus. Also surviving are eight nieces and nephews. Floyd attended Boone County rural school and then attended Grand Island Senior High School to the 10th grade. He worked for area farmers in the Shelton and Wood River area. He then farmed for himself in the Cairo area. He also worked for a sugar beet factory, Sid Cole Gravel Co. and other various jobs in Grand Island. Floyd took care of his mother and his older brother, Glen, who was blind, until their deaths. He was a member of the Cairo Methodist Church. Floyd had a love for music and dancing. He enjoyed drawing pictures and the outdoors. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Glen Wheeler.
