Description	:	Floyd Irving Gilbert, 94, of The Villages, FL passed away August 4, 2014. Floyd was born on March 4, 1920 in Boyero, Colorado to his parents, George Irving and Elsie Maude Cox Gilbert. In 1925, their family moved to Kansas where Floyd graduated from Clay County High School in 1938. He worked for Pratt Whitney Experimental Test Department prior to entering the Army Air Corp as a cadet. He met and married Nora Alice Cannon at Presbyterian College, Clinton, SC; on April 8, 1944. Floyd was a member of Northlake Presbyterian Church in The Villages. Inurnment will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas.
