Floyd was born in Lincoln County KS on October 28, 1903 and passed away at St. Bernardine's Hospital , San Bernardino CA, Monday, November 30, 1970, at the age of 67 years, one month and 2 days. He was united in marriage to Lucille Weaver on September 28, 1921 and to this union were born three sons and two daughters. They lived near Hoxie till moving to California in 1935. Floyd was born in Lincoln County KS on October 28, 1903 and passed away at St. Bernardine's Hospital , San Bernardino CA, Monday, November 30, 1970, at the age of 67 years, one month and 2 days. He was united in marriage to Lucille Weaver on September 28, 1921 and to this union were born three sons and two daughters. They lived near Hoxie till moving to California in 1935. Floyd was a general contractor in San Bernardino from 1935 to 1967 when he moved to Colorado because of ill health. He was a member of the First Christian Church, San Bernardino, and a former member of the First Christian Church of Hoxie. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, one daughter and two grandsons. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Lucille, Dove Creek CO; two sons, Doyle and Dale of San Bernardino, and Darrel of Blyth CA; One daughter Alice Rasmussen of San Bernardino; two brothers, Elza and William H. of San bernardino; one sister, Iva Miller of Salina KS and 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, many more relatives and a host of friends. I'll mark each turn along the road that you may walk the same; I'll often pause to hear your voice, if you should call my name. If I should be the first to go beyond all earthly care I'll try to linger near the gate until you get there. Then hand in hand with all of life's hard battles fought and won, together we shall find what lies beyond the setting sun." Clerymen officiating at the services were Jim Smith of Hoxie and W.H. Robb of Colby. Pallbearers were Mr. Hunter's nephews; Albert Smith, Grant Hunter, Raymond Hunter, Billy Weaver, Norman Weaver and Dale Diedrich. He was laid to rest in the Hoxie Cemetery.
