He attended country schools near his home. Before his marriage to Celia Hupp, Floyd was engaged in farming. After their marriage they continued to live around Coon Rapids where they farmed. Read More	Coon Rapids Enterprise August 17, 1989 Floyd, son of Emanuel and Belle Conner Sigler, was born August 24, 1909 in Union Township, Carroll County, Iowa. He attended country schools near his home. Before his marriage to Celia Hupp, Floyd was engaged in farming. After their marriage they continued to live around Coon Rapids where they farmed. After moving into town Floyd worked for Garst and Thomas Seed Corn Company. Celia died on August 10,1969. Floyd had been in failing health for a number of years and had been living in Maryville, Missouri near his granddaughter for the past several years. He died on Tuesday, August 8, 1989 at Heartland Hospital West, St. Joseph, Missouri at the age of 79 years, 11 months, and 15 days. Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Leona Doty; by a son, Keith Sigler; by a grandson, Gerald Sigler; by a granddaughter, Diane Weeks; and by a son-in-law, Maurice Weeks. Floyd is survived by three children: Gerald Sigler and his wife, Rhoda, of Bayard; Donna Weeks, of Bayard; and Bethel and her husband, Gerald Doty, of Coon Rapids; by 24 grandchildren; by numerous great-grandchildren; by one great-great-grandchild; by two brothers, Dale Sigler and his wife, Lula, of Coon Rapids and Elwin "Kelley" Sigler and his wife, Marjorie, of Lincoln, Nebraska; by a sister, May Jean and her husband, Daryl Baker, of Coon Rapids; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
