Description	:	Final Rites For Floyd O. Taylor, Former Marshal. Floyd O. Taylor, son of the late Essie and Jesse Taylor was born Septmber 28, 1905 on a farm in York County, Ne where he grew to manhood. Taylor, son of the late Essie and Jesse Taylor was born Septmber 28, 1905 on a farm in York County, Ne where he grew to manhood. He attended grade school and District #98 in York County and graduated from Exeter High School in 1925. Febuary 2, 1929 he was united in marriage with Rose Ella Adams of Waco, NE. To this union two children were born: Doris Joann and Paul. During their first year of marriage the Taylors lived on a farm near his home and Floyd assisted his brother Ray with farm work. A year later they moved to Exeter. He and his wife, Rose, owned and operated a cafe for five years. He held the agency in Exeter for State Farm Insurance for 27 years, was assistant depot agent and substitute mail carrier for a number of years. In 1948 he suffered a heart attack and had been in ill health since that time. He died Thursday, May 19, 1966 at the age of 60 years, 7 months and 71 days. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, Rose, daughter Doris Joann of Wheatridge, CO, son Paul of Marietta, GA, son in law, John Bruntz, daughter in law, Faye Taylor, three granddaughters, Merribeth and Jean Kay Bruntz and Lori Lynn Taylor, two sisters, Mrs. Martin Thompsen, and Mrs. William Mullner, both of Exeter, brother Ray Taylor of Exeter, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother, Earle. Funeral services were held at 2:30pm Monday May 23 at the Exeter Methodist Church. Rev. Ray Hankins officiating, assisted by Rev. Sherman Ragsdell of Pender. Interment was in the Exeter Cemetery. Out of town relatives attending the services were Will Taylor and StanleyTaylor of Wahoo, Mrs. Rex Baller of Oakland, IA, Mrs. Nora Brisbin and Miss Helen Hatch of Lexington, Mrs. Cassia Stephenson of Stromsburg, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Graham of York, Clarence Campbell and Mrs. Connie Menifee of York, Mrs. Hazel Taylor of York, Miss Shirley Thompsen of Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Stephens of Polk, Mr. and Mrs. FrankAfams and Mrs. Doyle Clinkenbeard of Waco, Mrs. Jack Stephens, Patti and Bob of Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Koehn of York and Miss Daisy Guthrie of Geneva.
