Read More	Cherokee Daily Times: Oct. 8, 1962: Page 6 Forest Stevenson, son of Oliver G and Grace E Holly Stevenson, was born August 26. 1892 on a farm East of Quimby and died September 8. 1962 in Cherokee following a long illness at the age of 70 years and 13 days. He attended country school east of Quimby. At the age of 14, he moved with his family to Kansas. He moved to Canada at the age of 18 where he met Mildred Barns whom he married February 19, 1919. They were the parents of four children. In 1921 the familv moved to Cherokee where he was engaged m the garage business for eight years prior to moving to Quimbv where he lived the last 33 years. He was baptized April 23. 1953 and united with the Methodist Church on April 28. 1953. He belonged to the Methodist Men's Club and served on the official board of the church. He also was a member of the Quimby Commercial Club and had served on the town council for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Vernon on May 29, 1944 who died while serving his country in Italy, also a sister Mrs. Oscar Olson and an infant brother, Edwin. In addition to his wife, Mildred, he is survived by two sons, Clifford and Richard Stevenson, both of Quimby: and a daughter. Betty Ball of Shelton. Neb A sister, Mrs. Rachel Richwine of Garden City, Kan. and two brothers, Robert Stevenson of Warrenesburg, Mo.and Herbert of Sparks, Nev. also seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held September 12 from Quimby Methodist Church with Rev Max Paige officiating. Burial was in Quimby cemetery. Pallbearers were Perry Gano, Charles McClintock. Clarence Pinkerton, William King, Hans Musfeldt and Keith Pearse. Boothby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
