Favre officiated and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. The following obituary was read at the service: Forrest A. Matteson, son of W.D. Matteson and Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Beauchany Matteson, was born in Minneapolis, Kan., Feb. 21, 1906, and moved with his parents to Superior, Neb., in May, 1909. Except for a short time while liv- Funeral services for Forrest A. his entire life in Superior. He died at work on Feb. 15 at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 25 days. He was stricken with infantile paralysis when he was four years old, and was completely paralyized for some time. After getting around in a coaster wagon for some time, he finally mastered riding a bicycle which was his constant companion. Mr. Matteson spent about four years as an apprentice shoe repair man. He opened his own shop in which he had been in business for over ten years. During this time, he also spent some time on duty at the Nebraska port of entry. He was united in marriage to Ola Ewer on Dec. 17, 1932. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Loyd Sole (Doris) of Nelson, Neb. Survivors besides his wife and daughter are his son-in-law, Lloyd Sole, and a grandson, Michael Sole, of Nelson, one brother, Howard, of Superior and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
