Description	:	Forrest E. Willer, 86, life-long resident of Tipton, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at his home in Tipton. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 25, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. There will be a time of visitation beginning one hour prior to the start of the funeral service. In honoring Forrest's wishes, he will be cremated following the funeral service. Inurnment will be in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery, Tipton, Iowa. Forrest Elwyn Willer was born August 21, 1931, on the family farm in rural Tipton, the son of Forrest and Ella (Eiler) Willer. He graduated from Tipton High School. He attended Iowa State University for two years. He married Gloria Ann Biere on October 3, 1958, in Bettendorf. They were blessed with three children, Carol, David and Chris. He spent his working years doing what he loved, farming the land, a proud century farm honoree. He was an avid Hawkeye Fan and enjoyed taking day trips to the Mississippi. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and a member of the Cedar County Genealogy Society. He was also a frequent blood donor. Surviving are his wife, Gloria; one daughter, Carol Willer of Des Moines; two sons, David (Ronda) Willer of Apple Valley, MN, and Chris (Hong) Willer of Ames; four grandchildren, Christopher and Daniel McDonald, Kayla Willer and Kim Wilson; and five great-grandchildren, Dominik and Jerico McDonald, Dimitri, Sydney, and Aidan McDonald.
